ESTATE PROGRESS

Black
Ridge Vineyard Estates and Black Ridge Winery began in 1999 when long time friends Fred Faltersack and Jim Landes both acted
on their desire to build their personal homes in a secure and private vineyard setting. This desire has since matured into
a major undertaking with a shared passion to shape Black Ridge Vineyard Estates into one of Silicon Valley's most exclusive
and prestigious vineyard estate properties.

Black Ridge Vineyard Estates is accessed from Black Road only ½ mile from
Lexington Reservoir.
|
The main entry to Black Ridge Vineyard Estates leads into a 29 acre section called the "lower vineyard". This area
contains the Faltersack and Landes properties.
|
The West entry of Black Ridge Vineyard Estates leads to a 24 acre section called
the "Upper Vineyard". Our first planting took place in September of 2002 covering 13.36 acres of the upper section.
|
The East entry of Black Ridge Vineyard Estates provides access to a private 9 acre section of the lower vineyard containing
4.5 acre parcels with a new custom home situated on one of the two sites.

This view of the downtown San Jose skyline can be seen from almost anywhere you stand at Black Ridge Vineyard Estates.
|
This aerial photo of Black Ridge Vineyard Estates was shot early in 2003. The picture
orientation is facing east. The upper section planting was completed in September 2002 and the lower section planting completed
in September 2004. You can see the gentle sloping nature of the land as it drapes across the ridge and the Lexington Reservoir
is about 1/2 full and looking muddy due to recent heavy rains.
